Immigration Policy in the United States: A Catholic Response is a resource for Catholic high school teachers in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
This interdisciplinary thematic unit is designed to educate students about immigration, to illustrate how Catholic Social Teaching contributes to this discussion and to empower students to use their voice to help shape public policies around this issue.
This program includes a Social Studies, Math, Religion and English/Language Arts lesson. Each lesson may be used in a variety of contexts and across grade levels. While this program will benefit individual teachers, it is a particularly powerful tool for a school community that wishes to dedicate a day to highlighting this important issue. |
